Welcome Robyn and Maria are two drop dead gorgeous photographers that lie about their looks but take killer photographs. We are a little bit like AC/DC, totally different but put us together and we make really great loud music. Except we don't make music we make pictures. Pretty damn good ones if you ask us.

Maria and I would normally post portrait work like this on our individual portrait sites- me dogs, her kiddos- but this session was special. It was for Kristen Jensen, event planner extraordinaire of Sugar Rush Events. Kristen is one of our favorite people to work with in the wedding industry (and just one of our favorite people period) and we worked wither her a bunch last year so she wanted to have both of us come do a family session for her. So, we figured this was a good place to share what we got.

So, her and the hubs grabbed some beers, headed to their favorite hangout spot- the backyard- kicked their shoes off and enjoyed the 70 degree late fall weather, while we just followed all the little members of their adorable family around, including their hermit crab, Bill.

I loved so many things about this wedding! The venue, the weather, the design, the music, and especially the bride and groom! Ariel and Jonathan didn't follow the rules at all- dancing during the daylight, no garter/bouquet toss, pies instead of cake. They really just had such a fun and laid-back party. And I love Jonathan's obsession with bow ties; he personally made sure each and every one of them there was tied perfectly! (You may recall from their Engagement Session that Jonathan and his grandfather are bow tie professionals!). Anyway, these two are pretty darn adorable and their wedding was pretty darn great!

These guys have been married for 10 years and look at the way they still look at each other! We're so glad they got to spend lots of little quiet moments together this sunny afternoon in their little town of Sunol. They've got a wee one coming soon so their sunny afternoons may be a little less quiet from here on out :)

Anyway, Maria and I are so in love with this session- Beautiful light + True love make us some happy photographers!

Hi Robyn, We're friends of your mom. We babysat you once or twice when you were very small. Wow! Your pics are fabulous. If our son gets married, I'll know who to call. Would love to see you sometime if we're ever in the neighborhood. Cheryl & Elliot

When these two first met it was at an out-of-town conference and, after learning they were from the same area, Steve offered Lauren a ride home . . . in his plane. How's that for making a first impression!

Well, this wedding was 10 years, and lots of obstacles in the making, but here they are! And these guys couldn't be happier to be here, together at last. They express their happiness by kissing a lot- much to the disapproval of Steve's kids (see my favorite "ewwe gross!" picture down below! :))

Ever so appropriately, they got married at the Aviation Museum in Redwood City.

This wedding had so many great moments, but I'd have to say my favorite was during the Maid of Honor's speech when she pulled up some old g-chats between her and Tatyana from back when Tatyana was first "totally crushing on this guy Casey"! Oh man, I kinda died a little bit; so funny!

So here we are, after many years of law school, some trips to Russia, and many hours of reading Lord of the Rings to each other- they are still totally crushing on each other, and I got to be there when they made it official!

(I should note here that the Best Man's speech also made me laugh out loud. Being married to a Blizzard nerd myself, I got an odd little rush of pride (?or something?) when he told everyone that Casey asked him to be his best man via Starcraft-- imagine one space alien typing to the other, "wanna be my best man?" while zerging his Terran siege tanks).

Anyway, I had the lovely Jenna Alcala helping me on this wedding, so some of these beautiful images are hers!
